Mohan ( )     15 April 2012

Surname missing in sale deed

I have a sale deed registered. My name is Mohan Kishore, Mohan being first name and Kishore surname.

In the registered sale deed, only my first name is mentioned as the name of the purchaser.

Wil this be a problem? Should this be corrected? The name is mentioned as Kishore all through the documents including the enumbrance certificiate.(Should this be corrected as Mohan Kishore)

This should certainly be rectified.  It is of little use having the property registered in a first name only as you will have difficulty, if selling or mortgaging the property, showing the prospective purchaser/mortgagor that you are the registered owner of the property.

Mr.mohan this is a easy process. Make a rectification deed and sign both parties i.e. Seller & purchser and persent before sub-registrar.Some legal fees also  teqiired..
