Set aside exparte cos of 300r

Dear Team, My wife filed DVC against me. Frist hearing I could not attend as my father passed away around the same time. on 1st hearing case was set to exparte. I attended 2nd hearing and my lawyer filed petition to set aside exparte. On 3rd hearing set aside exparte was allowed. However my lawyer informed me that I have to pay Rs 300 towards petitioner's expanses for attending the court for 1st hearing. I do not want to give money. Will there be any consequences for not giving her money

You have to pay cost of Rs 300 else court will not allow your application.

Just to make sure, I have to pay 300rs because I did not attend the court on first hearing. and have to pay this only once for the hearing no representation was held by my end.

Yes, pay the cost imposed; afterall, Rs.300/- is not a fat amount.
