Senior citizens Act 2007

Hi Everyone,

 

Under Senior Citizens Act 2007, does the senior citizens (whether Accused or Defendents) have any rights for speedy trial?

Senior citizen are given priority in listing of cases in Allahabad High Court. I will post  the exact provision or court's administrative direction in this regard after verifying the same.

Sir, Senior citizen are given priority in all type cases or only related with criminal.

They are given priority in all type of cases.

A senior citizen of 70 years has been making rounds of the court for the last 10 years in a 138 case without a single hearing taking place; only adjournments.
