Second business under my company - reg

Hi

I have a startup and we are registered as pvt ltd company in bangalore in Oct 2015. We are into software development so we have our company name as Technologies pvt ltd. we also have a bank current account for the same.

Now I came up with a second business idea and i would like to implement it. The idea is a website which delivers food.

Should i register a second company? Can i do the second business under my previous company name itself?

Regards

Vivek

Hi Vivek,

You can carry on the other business of delivering the food on website, if the objects under the memorandum of your exisitng company authorises the company to carry on such a business. Also, under Companies Act, 2013, now you cannot have the other objects in your memorandum and hence, every act done by the company should come under the ambit of the objects of the company. For any clarification, mail me at mittaljets@gmail.com
