Role of governor

Hi Friends,

Can a person who is born in the Same state be appointed as Governor? I do not find any Governor belonging to the particular state being appointed Governor for the same state.

If there are any provision in the Constituion which prohibits such appointment, can you kindly quote the same?

No such provision exist. But to avoid political inconvenience a Governor of a State is appointed only from another State. It is a rule of political convenience and not a rule of law.
