Residential Land Regarding

Sir,
I have a property (Residential Land) in Chennai region. It's a Patta land but not regularised. For regularisation purpose I gave a copy of my land document to a real estate agent. Is it possible to misuse my documents or any possiblity to do cheating on ownership? If any other risks are there on giving copy of land documents also share with me. Thanks

You ask him your copy and give his amount if any agreed.  And apply to the SDO/RDO concerned for regulisation of your patta with necessary proof.

There is every possibility of misuse of document.

It is advisable to consult a local prudent lawyer for better appreciation of facts/documents, guidance and proceeding.

What do you mean by 'patta that is not regularised'? What is it the real estate agent has promised to get the document 'regularised'?
