Regarding leave

I am a 2nd year Ph.D student in IIT Kharagpur. I am going to attend an interview for Assistant Prof in a Govt. colllege CET, Odisha. Suppose I get the job and but I want to continue my Ph.D full time, can I get leave from the college immediately after joining and continue my Ph.D and after completing Ph.D I will join full time in that college???
