The MTP Act allows termination of pregnancy only till the 20th week unless there is an imminent danger to the mother's life.Dear Anindita please go through the decision of Niketa Mehta's case

It is very very sad that the power of life and  death has now been taken away from the court by this draconian legislation which is worst than Armed Forces Special power Act, and the power of life and death now rest with the Doctors.
