If it is registered under Charitable activities or under Societies Registration Act, not covered under purview of RTI.

Hon'ble Supreme Court has clarified "substantial" assistance in RTI as per the following:
"without such finance / Assistance, the organization cease to exist"
It all depends on information you require on the NGO.
If that NGO submits such information to a public authority as per the reporting and control process, then it becomes a public record.

If the NGO is decalred as a Public authority, it needs to be covered by RTI Act. anyhow what are the facts? What is the issue?
