Quitting with out notice

Hi,

I had joined an IT concern recently. I had just worked for 2 months there. In the 2 months, i have on bench( no project allocated). I met with an accident and was hospitalized for 2 months. I was not in a position to contact the company.

I am recovering, and as soon as i got back my health, i sent a mail to the HR of the company stating the reason and requested them to consider this my resignation. ( I did not want to work there because i needed 3 or 4 months of rest).

I recieved a mail from them stating i should join them immediately or they will take diciplnary action.

I am not interested in any experince certificate( just 2 months) or any other compensation or benefits. But the mail is in a threatening mode and am not sure what to do.

Can a legal action be taken on me? what should i do next ?
