Property - second name change

My husband had purchased a flat in Mumbai 2 years ago. The flat is in his and his mother's name.

We now wish to change the property to a joint ownership between him and me. Would this involve re-registration and stamp duty payments again?

Would appreciate if someone can guide us on the procedure.
