Property

we have ancestral property with residential & commercial shop in commercial area since 50 years now it is totally collapsed & have tenants from that time which were paying rent 1/-, some of the tenants have sub tenants. the case is pending in court. Now the question arised when we want to make apartment on that land/ property, tenants are not ready to leave land & eager to capture land which is worth Rs 2cr. what is law says, should we get rid off tenants by giving them lumpsum amount or can we take the rent as per market rates in new property, pl help us or what is the best solution ???

Tenants are greedy sharks. They will take their pounds of flesh. If their demands are reasonable accept it
