A friend of mine working in BSNL lost his wife due to cancer. Now, he is planning for re-marriage.
He wants to knwo the exact procedure to be followed. will it be considered as 2nd marriage ?

It is considered as 2nd marriage, but there is no objection to go for registration of Marriage, as the wife is expired. Death certificate has to be enclosed for the purpose of marriage.

he can report death of wife and then re-marriag eto the deptt and name of new wife in service record.
