Which is a primary evidence, oral evidence Or documentary evidence?

S.62 of The Indian Evidence Act, 1872 defines primary evidence with regard to document. S.60 of the same act says that Oral evidence must be "direct".

Primary evidence with regard to a document means production of document itself.

As per Indian Evidence Act 1872 under Sec.60. Oral evidence is direct.

Under Sec. 62 of IEA 1872 when Documentary evidence is produced before the Court for inspection. It is Primary evidence.

Mr. fresher the primary evidence means the document which is the original in nature and the same is produced for the inspection itself & the same has been defined under the evidence Act.

The oral evidence means the evidence of the person who had himself seen, heard and perceived the incident or the circumstances itself.

The documentary evidence is the evidence which have been reduced into writing by the parties and there contents are to be proved by the parties itself who had executed the same by confronting / putting the contents to them.
