Pleasure market study

Hi,

I'm planning to setup an online business which sells adult products and accessories. Whatever I've read till now is that this kind of business is illegal in India and also it's illegal to import such products. But I've seen online companies selling products in India and having their warehouses here in India itself. So if it's illegal to setup such business model in India, how come these companies are operating ?
