Partition suit pending in court

Hi sir, My father submitted partition suit in court and we are abuout to cancel. By unknowingly my father kept my mother self acquired poperty in partition suit. Before cancelling partition suit my mother wants to write a will or get registration of land to one of my brother among four bothers. She can dot that. Please advice.
