I am from Chennai. since my mother has expired I approach taluk office for applying legal heir certificate. my mother has two properties for which she is not given will. so they are asking for all the property documents xerox copies in order to apply for legal heir. As far as I know they would only mention the reason for applying legal heir like Property Change/Gas Connection/Bank Transfer etc.. But now they are telling rule got changed where they will mention each property address for which legal heir can be used. kindly let me know what is the current rule in Chennai for applying legal heir certificate.
