I belong to the OBC under Karnataka and have been staying in Gujarat since last 20 years.
Can I get an OBC Certificate for my children to get admission to various engineering institutes, if Yes, who is the competent authority to issue such certificate.

Dear Nish*t,
You can get the certificate from the office of Collector in your region. you can collect a specific form for this purpose from the office of collector , which is to be submitted alongwith your residence proof/caste certificate of any other relative etc. They may also ask you to execute an Affidavit. For more details pls visit to the office of collector in whose jurisdiction you are residing.
