Notice for 138

Dear Lawyers,

Can the notice of demand for payment in a cheque bounce case be handed over personally to the drawer of the cheque within 30 days?

For e.g. if my friend has given me a cheque which has no account in the bank, can i personally hand him over the lawyer's notice of demand for payment, instead of sending it through a registered post?

Well it is advisable to send notice by Regd A/D and UCP ...... and U need to do that only ...... because u'd need evidence to prove in court that the notice was sent and received by the Payer .... Hand delivery has it's own drawbacks in the sense that the opposite person may deny having received it from u ....

The notice is the base and any flaw in the notice is always fatal. not only delevery but also the content of the notice are imporatant.
