My dad went to notary Public for getting
1. affidavit of assurance of return and property details (for visa interview)
2. affidavit of birth certificate.
Notary Public asked fees Rs.2000/-. is this normal fee? because in my family they felt its too much. could u please let us know the actual fee for this. thanks u so much in advance

Affidavit is the only source document which serves as a link document represented by the facts compiled.There are many such documents which are issued only once and the scope for change in address is hardly possible..

There is no standard. Also the amount of work involved needs to looked into. Either you accept/negotiate before assigning the work or look for other Notary who would charge you less for the same job.
