Sir
My friend has a wife and children.But in all insurance he has given his mother as nominee.Now he is no more.Can the wife and children claim their rights in insurance amount or it will go to this mother only as per nomination given.Kindly clarify

It is believed that the dceased person is Hindu.
Wife and all children and mother of deceased are ClassI legal heirs and have equal share.
Nominee is just the hand to recieve and a mere trustee to collect the proceeds and has to distibute equally amongst all ClassI legal heirs.
