Dear All,
Myself Ravi Kumar working in a Hospital as a Front Office Executive for last 2 years and working in night shift.
My working time is 8pm to 8am (12 hours). My query is am i eligible for Over Time allowance for 4 hours every day? Even Management is allowing me to take 4 hours of rest during night shift. But in attendance myself entering in time as 8pm and out going as 8am.
As per the documents, its shows that, am working for 12 hours in a shift.
Need your advise on this.

No. You are allowed to take rest for 4 hrs in between hence you are actually working for 8 hrs hence you are not eligible for any over time. You can only request your management to rotate your duties so that you can work in A, B & G.

But Legally, i have not received any letter on 4 hours rest. And also in attendance register its showing 12 hrous of duty (Intime & Out Time). Documentation says its 12 hours duty.

You may ask for rest of 1 hr.
The 1 hour can be further stagerrated as suitable.
