News in newspaper .. copywright

Are the news that are published in newspaper r copywright of the newspaper company.. can i reproduce the news on any website along with givin a source without the permission of the newspaper company????? plz lemme know

It depends on the newspaper. There is no protection of copyright in general. However, you can always reproduce the content from the newpaper by making a quote that teh content has been copies from such and such newspaper.

News are definitely not the copyright of the Newspaper Company. It is well settled that information can never be the subject matter of copyrights.
