To my knowledge, you can marry in india irrespective of the formalities of UK.  In ndia the marraige rules of uk  are not applicable.  You can straight away marry  in the sub registrar office.  Under which act is to be decided depending upon religion of yourself and your fiance.

If both of you are christian, then the marriage will be done under Indian christian marraige Act

If both of you are Hindu, the marraige will be done under Hindu  marraige Act.

If you are of different religion, then the marraige will be done under Spl marraige Act.

If  you are of different citizenship (atleast one should be indian), under fpreign marraige act.
