Mistake in typing of pan no in drafting

There is a mistake in draft in sale deed There are two purchaser of the property the pan no. Of second purchaser is having typographic error instead of CxxxxxxxxxB it was written as CxxxxxxxxxxD. While enquiring from income tax dept the said wrong PAN no is not issued to any one and will not be issued in future too as the last digit is a check digit. Further there is a procedure to upload pan card copy while filing drafting of sale deed in which correct pan no is uploaded. Please advice. Sale deed is Registered

Minor mistakes not connected with main transaction can be ignored.  It is the duty of sub registrar to verify number with original.  Just issue a Registered notice informing the mistake and request for correction and for procedure for correction officially.   Thereby your duty and responsibility comes to an end as you have reported the error to concerned authority and not suppressed facts.

Still required a rectification deed.
