Illatum son in law means " illarikum alludu" in telugu n " Gharjamai " in hindi. When a husband comes to live with wife to FILs house after mrg he is an illatom SIL n becomes a member of his wife s family n aquires a right to FIL Propty by contributing work n services . This is an ancient custom in our country more prevelant in south esp kerala. When wife is d only daughter in her family SIL is brought as illatom............Celll 91777-22930.
