Maternity Benefit Act -

Maternity Benefit Act – 1961.

Dear All,

Previously, there was 135 days was the advantage given under the provisions of this act. Now there is 180 days benefits are there.

Please provide information regarding under what amendment it has been done. Its urgent and immediate.

1. As per the new Central Govt. Rules. The maternity leave is 180 days with full pay. (Admissible to all Centr Govt. employees having less than two children)

2. But for pvt. sector employees it is still 12 weeks.
