Maintenance

Court has order to pay Rs. 5000/- for my child for maintenance every month before 5th and pay arrears from date of filing the petition. I am ready to pay the maintenance amount. Can I directly pay the amount to my child as demand draft or cheque. Please guide me the procedure for pay the amount to my child or court. I am also ready to pay the arrears amount Rs. 2.8 lacs but I have grace period for three months. Can I request the court for grace period for three months to pay arrears as two or three installments. Please guide me.
