Heeeelp this woman, Please. I am her sponsor in the USA. She is lost in the world of men and traditions. She can't, as most people in India know, speak out for fear of, well lets just say fear. She wants to finish her life free of her husband. I said I would look into it, and really, I am just as lost as she is. WOW How can this woman find peace in her heart, knowing she has to cook and clean for her husband and recieces nothing in turn, NOTHING. Please, can some one help this woman.

Keith it is not clear what information you are seeking? This is a law forum, members here will be more inclined to give legal opinion about Indian laws.
From the information as posted above by you, it seems be more of a cultural issue than legal issue. She might be more in need of psychological/psychiatric counselling rather than legal help.
