Legality of Housing Society byelaws

Hi Can someone please let me know the judgements pertaining to the following issues of housing society byelaws: 1) do these society byelaws have any legal stature? 2) can housing society association ban owners from renting out their flats as a service apartment or guest house? 3) is the approval from association mandatory for renting out the flats? While i have read various opinions on these, are there any judgements wrt these issues? If so, can you please share the details? Regards,

Society cannot be regd without bylaws.Firstof all Society cannot be fomed without bylaws. The bylaws will be framed as per the Act. After registering the bylaws the society has to run according to it. You are entitled to get a copy of Bylaws. If the bylaws says that society can ban the owner from letting out their flat for commercial usage, then the Society has got power to do so. Pl read the by laws and post your qry again.
