Is possible to get new purchaser name updated on property card in pune

I am planing to purchase a property in Pune. Property owner whose name is on property card is passed away. now property owner's wife is selling that property. her name got updated on 7/12 recently but not in property card. Now my question is, As I am planing to purchase this property from her, is it possible to get my name(new purchaser) on property card directly without updating her name. My lawyer is saying that it is possible but i not sure. OR should I ask her to get her name updated on property card as well. Please let me help me on this.
