Is it normal?

I have come across a man who is under hypertension. When asked about the stress he opened up a lot. He said hos wife always about cooking and cleaning up the house. But when a servant is offered she wants a servant perfect which is difficult to find. She gets this weird behaviour sometimes whereby she will cry and make him feel guilty of everything. From marriage point of view to his family and personal life. She even threatens to either kill herself. Lately she made a rope ready to hang herself whereby he had to run back and say sorry and become a culprit. He have 3 children who are teenagers. Please reply...
