Ji, you can register a Society or a Trust under Societies Registration Act, 1860 (states amended this Act in 2001 according to the state). It requires not less than 7 members with 5 Aims & Objects without profit motive.  so you can mention the aims & objects, such as to cater the  needs of education by establishing schools/colleges., 2. to help the needy poor ------- like that.  The Trust can be registered under Registration Act also and it requires founder cum author & Trustee with or without other trustees wtithout profit motive.   It requires corpus fund (amount is author's choice-but compulsory) to achieve the aims & objects of the Trust.
