i was charged under sec 279&337 of Ipc for accident and appeared in magistrate court and paid fine. is the case closed now ??? other party wants to make claim from my insurance ,but on the day of accident insurance was on the name of 1st owner of my car and im the second owner. what can be outcome of this and who will be liable ?? The car has comprehensive isurance.

Immediately after the transfer of vehicle... you should also have transferred the Insurance policy onto your name... the policy benefit being remained with the previous owner for the non-transfer of the same,... you are at risk of paying compensation to the victim. Insurance will not cover you. Bad luck for your ignorance.

i received my RC very late after the transfer bcoz there was spelling mistake in it and it went for correction again. that made all the delay.
