If you have better opportunities, resign the post on this pretext, proceed through Labour court for harassment.  Contact local labor inspector for proper guidance.

Your query is not sufficient for giving proper advice.

Pl. answer the following:

Status of employer: Proprietorship/Partnership firm/Pvt.Ltd. Co.

Type of employment: Regular/ Daily wage/Apprentice

Service contract/ Terms of appointment if any

EPF & ESI covered Establishment or not?

Any known reason for withholding of salary?

You are a senior citiozen and must have been a contract employee and has nothing to fear at the age of 70 years.  Contact any advocate and let him issue legal notice demanding such salary.  The court as you are a Senior citizen and working for sustenance may take a  sympathetic view to disposing the case early. A contract employee who gets consolidated amount is not eligible for such benefits.  Please read the offer letter.  The organization may be having it's own problems as they have continued your one year contract without renewing it from time to time, and this may be due to budgetary constraint.  Still be confident that you can get your entire salary, unless and until the employer do not find faults with you in some other manner for such financial loss if any caused due to your negligence.
