Emi payment obligation after home registeration.

I have purchased flat and done the registeration at stampduty office in the month of July 15, 2019. seller has not paid the EMI for the month of July Aug Sep Oct 19. Entire loan process took almost 3 months. Bank has imposed penalty on the seller after my bank has closed the loan. Now seller has asking for compensation from me of this amount penalty and EMIs for these months.

I feel after registeration only title of the property will transfer not ownership. that will be transfer only after payment of final amount and seller has occupied the room during these months. hence i dont have any obligation to pay anything here. it is obligation of the seller to pay EMI regularly till entire loan process get close.

Please advice on this.

There is no straight jacket formula to deal with the problem you are facing. It depends upon the mutual understanding of the parties concerned.
