my wife a doctor has joined as Specialist in a hospital maintained by PSU last month
I wanted to know
1> is there any case decision law or rules regarding work outlines or duties of doctors?
2>what are the rules regarding having assistant or doing assistant job?
3> in absence of both where can it be found if she is lawfully entitled for a assistant or not?
4> does she has right to deny doing work beside her main duty of treating patients? any rule law regarding this?
5> what are the rules for determining seniority among doctors?
In R/T Q5 She is only post graduate presently in department but the earlier acting head is son of a very high official of the same PSU so the administration is hesitating to issue a official order regarding her being a Head of Department.. What are the remedies?
In r/t Q1-4 There are no assistant in the department and she has to do all the working from calling of patients to treatment and also clerical working regarding the entries even cleaning of instruments.
PS- she is in probation for 1 year, I am myself a doctor and pursuing LLB (2nd yr) I am preparing the list of available remedies so that she can accordingly act. I think this is the least I can do being myself into law now. Any advice appreciated
I have tried to search for such references and cases for almost 2 weeks now but haven got my hands on anything specific.
