Domicile certificate

Many govt department job advertisements are asking for Domicile certificate . As there no reservation against domicile is not available in central govt.job applications .Hence it seems a tactics to sort out job applications.

Can any body give whether job application can ask for domicile certificate

It appears to me that the answer is not for the question. In fact the question itself is not clear due to poor English. As I understand the question is whether the requirement of a domicile certificate for Government jobs is legal and Constitutional. According to me under the Constitution an Indian citizen has the right to live and work anywhere in India irrespective of his place of birth or place of domicile of himself or his parents. This is the law not only for Central Government jobs but even for State Government jobs. I may be corrected if I am wrong.
