Friends Plz clear me what is besic difference between application of DV act and 125 CrPC ?

Section 125 Cr P C application is just for the sake of getting maintenance only from the husband/father/son by the wife or children or even parents who are unable to maintan themselves and have no source of sufficient income for themselves.
Whereas the Dv application is for women in the family to claim their rights of maintenance, residence, custody of children, and order of protection against the husband/son/father in the family who have committed acts of domestic violence against the woman of the family in any manner as decribed in the Act of 2005.
