Daughters share in Fathers self aquired property if both parents died before 2005

My grand father aquired a property in 1950, he has 3 sons 5 daughters. Grand father and grand mother both have died in 1980s. Does their daughters have any legal right to the property as per hindu law.

Yes, daughters being legal heirs have equal right on father property

I read it somewhere that as per SC verdicts and amendments in succession law 2005 if parents have died before 2005 then daughters do not have legal right to parents property in absence of will

If the sons doesnot divided the property and living jointly then daughters can claim there share thru partition suit.if they partitioned then it is considered daughters are ousted and have no share.
