Currency stolen from baggage after check in in international

Respected lawyers,

i recently travelled by air asia malaysian airlines to malaysia. After check in , when i reached my hotel in malaysia , i noticed my baggage locks were broken and a sum of rs 50000 was stolen from the baggage by breaking the lock. I immediately filed an email complaint with the airlines. Is it possible to file a consumers court case against an international airlines which has office in india for compensation. If so what are the requirements. If not what are the refraining reasons.
