Credibility of witness

In a criminal trial 5 accused faced trial, some accused were absconder.The complainant in his statement before court stated that all the accused including absconder were not involved in the crime. later absconder have arrested and facing trial. Complainant in statement before court for absconded accused stated involvement of accused.the witness examined twice once for previously arrested accused & later for absconder. Whether statement made by witness is trustworthy?
