I had to apply for some documents in government office to be able to start a company. I used a lawyer. He said I had to give him Rs. X for him to bribe the official. I didn't want to for moral reasons. I was willing to pay more legal fees, wait longer but just no bribes He then said, if I don't give him the money to bribe, he will quit the case halfway. I had to give in. I want to do something about it. I know the Bar Council route. But nothing comes ouf ot in my state. Other than filing a police complaint which too gets looked at rarely, what steps can I take?
