Sunaina

Under the Companies Act, there is no such thing as a group company, however, in common understanding a group company is:
1. Companies promoted by a set of the same promoters.
2. A holding Company having one or more Subsidaries.

Dear Mr. Sunaina

Group Company is not defined in Companies Act, 1956, but Section 370(1B) of the Companies Act, 1956  define the same management.
