Cognigence of an offence

Dear friends there is a clear provision in the criminal procedure of code that if magistrat has took the cognigence then only he can proceed in the chpter XV in CRPC, so police inquiry under section  202 of crpc is the procedure adopted by the magistrat but supose if he wants to get some more information about the offence then he has a power of further investigation under the 202 of crpc but suppose i have moved application of 156(3) of crpc in the case of ipc 467 , 468 , 471 after the report of police include that offence is made by the accuse then please provide me any authority of way to move further....
