Changing title of property and names on electricity and othe

My father passed away last year. There is no will. There are 4 legal heirs.

1). We have not changed the title in legal heirs names.

      What is the procedure?

2). The electricity bill, house tax bill and other bills all are still in his name.

Can we keep it that way? Or is it required to be on legal heirs names?

How do we change it? Can it be on all the legal heirs names?

Is it too late already since it's past a year?

Kindly answer.  Thanks.

What is LRs certificate??

You shall be required to get the property mutuated in the name of legal heirs by completeing the formalities and thereafter can get the electricity etc. transferred. you may also get the property partitioned mutually. Consult the  advocate in this regard.

In case we get property mutated i.e., change the name on sale deed, then will the electricity bill and other bills show all 4 names (legal heirs) ?   Is that allowed to have all names or is it required we have only one persons name?

Kindly answer. Thanks.

LR certificate means, Legal Heirs Certificate of the deeased. It is primary doucment for Mututation and Partition.  Approach thasildar office with death certificate for obtaining L.R'S Certificate.

After obtaining the L.R you may approach the revenue officals and get the mutation in the revenue record and likewise other offices.

If you feel/doubt that, the other Legal heir won't give your share, you may file partition suit using the L.R and Death certificate along with title deed of the property.
