Change religion to remarry

I want to remarry without divorcing first husband. Should i change my religion?

Even if you change your religion, your first marriage will remain valid and you can be prosecuted for bigamy by your first husband and also your second marriage will be void.

As rightly opined by learned Adv Archana, a married person is legally bound to stay tied to first his/her marriage, unless a court authorized by the law, announces a decree of divorce.

 

However you can explore options of divorce like mutual divorce to move-on and remarry.
