Respected Sir,
I am an Indian passport holder working in Muscat(Oman) on Working Visa.
I wished to make my parents visit Muscat and requested them to apply for their passport and last month they got it too.
When I applied for visiting visa for them in muscat, the Visa application got rejected by stating that parents name(spelling) in my passport is different from the name in thier passport. For visa processing the name should be corrected in either my passport or in thier passport. When i approached a passport service agency they told that I need to get a Court order from India stating for Name change in my passport. Then only the Indian Embassy will proceed with the name change. Is this correct? Can you advice me whether any others way is there for the name get changed...?
