Change in PCT Procedure

 

Based on the assembly of PCT union adopted in September ’08, number of amendments to the regulations under the patent cooperation treaty (PCT) will enter in to force with effect from 1st July’09.

 

 

Those amendments include: 

 

 

[1] A clarification regarding the procedure to be followed by the receiving Office where it has accorded, albeit mistakenly, an international filing date and intends to issue a declaration under PCT Article 14(4); and 

 

 

[2] when filing amendments of the claims under PCT Articles 19 and/or 34, the new requirement for applicants to submit a complete set of claims rather than, as at present, replacement sheets only for those sheets of claims which differ from sheets previously filed. To read further click the link
