In order to help my (Indian) sister-in-law liquidate movable (financial) holdings of her deceased Indian husband from overseas, I need to submit to the overseas authorities an acceptable statement of the law in India (for Hindus) for itnestate succession--- that is, the Hindu Succession Act of 1956-- the salient aspects pertaining to who is applicable to, who the Class 1 heirs aer, Class 2 heirs are etc.
Is there such a thing as a "Certificate of Law" quoting the relevant extract of the law that could be issued by a competent government authority/court? Who can issue me a quotation or statement of the law in India that is acceptable as authentic abroad?
